Abstract

Climate change causes instability in the rainy and dry seasons, which has an impact on leek production in Torongrejo Village. Fluctuations in production costs and prices have the potential to affect farmers' income. The reduction in the amount of production produced by farmers is influenced by rainfall and light intensity which has an impact on plant metabolism disorders resulting in a decrease in the rate of photosynthesis and carbohydrate synthesis so that the chlorophyll levels in the leaves change color to yellowish green which reduces the ability to absorb light and photosynthesis. Research was conducted to compare the production costs, receipts and income of spring onions based on seasonal differences. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. Sampling was carried out using a simple purposive sampling approach. The statistical analysis technique for primary data uses a different test (Paired sample t-test). The results show that the production costs for leek farming in the dry season are Rp14.877.165 and in the rainy season, namely Rp15.505.683. indicating that there is no significant difference in production costs, but there is a significant difference in the income from leek farming in the dry season, which is Rp37.791.200 and in the rainy season it is Rp33.612.000 and there is a significant difference in the income of leek farming in the dry season, namely Rp22.914.035 and in the rainy season, it is Rp18.106.317. Production costs tend to be higher during the rainy season, while revenues and income are higher during the dry season.
