Abstract
Electricity has become the most important source of energy for life, where all aspects of life from household to industrial level depend on electrical energy. One way to meet energy needs is to utilize solar energy or install solar panels. Currently the installation of solar power plants is still not optimal so that the energy absorbed is only 0.7% of capacity. This condition is caused by several factors such as the angle of inclination of the solar panel, the amount of irradiance, and the ambient temperature. To overcome this condition an in-depth feasibility study is needed, so that before carrying out the installation the user will know in advance the value of the power plant performance and the Return on Investment (RoI) that will be received. This research will focus on analyzing the performance and economy of the 319.4 kWp solar power plants On-Grid system based on the angle of inclination and the magnitude of the irradiance value. The discussion in this study will focus on two solar power plants in the Tangerang and Lumajang regions. In this study, PVSyst Software was used to analyze the Performance Ratio (PR) where irradiance and ambient temperature data were taken from NASA Prediction of Worldwide Energy Resource. While the economic analysis is carried out using the payback period method. In the results of this study it is stated that the greater the angle of inclination of the solar panel, the greater the risk of shading that will be received. The amount of solar irradiation and the angle of inclination have a major influence on the energy produced by the solar power plants. The RoI value in solar power plants is influenced by the amount of solar irradiation and the performance ratio, where in this case the Lumajang solar power plants has a lower RoI value than the Tangerang which is 5.45 years.
