Abstract
Background: Continuous computer use is one of the causes of eye health problems in computer-using employees. Computer Vision Syndrome is a collection of symptoms of eye discomfort caused by high amounts and duration of computer use. Objective: To determine the risk factors that affect Computer Vision Syndrome complaints in computer-using employees. Methods: This type of narrative review literature review applies a research question (RQ) based on PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcomes). Literature sources are journals from Research Gate, Pubmed, Google Scholar, Science Direct and Sage, 2019-2024. Results: 21 journals were
obtained with research subjects of bank employees, offices, PT (Limited Liability Company) companies and hospitals. Risk factors that affect Computer Vision Syndrome complaints in computer-using employees can be grouped into three main factors, namely device factors, user factors and environmental factors. Conclusion: Risk factors that affect complaints of Computer Vision Syndrome consist of three main factors. Factors from computer devices used, user factors and work environment factors.
