Abstract

The planning of the Hermina Hospital Building in Malang in this final project is a case
study of the upper structure using composite steel material (steel-concrete) with the LRFD
method (Load Resistance Factor Design). The use of LRFD proportionalizes structural
components in such a way as to provide a structure to be stronger, and safer in combining
loads. This building plan uses the SMF (Special Moment Frame) earthquake retaining
system. The reference standards used are SNI 1727: 2020 concerning Minimum Loads for
Building Planning and other Structures, SNI 1726: 2019 concerning Earthquake
Resistance Planning Procedures for Building Structures, SNI 1729: 2020 concerning
Structural Steel Building Specifications, SNI 7972: 2020 concerning Prequalified
Connections for Special and Intermediate Moment Frames of Steel, SNI 7860: 2020
concerning Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings, and SNI 2847: 2019
concerning Structural Concrete Requirements for Buildings. The results of the planning
analysis and calculations are concluded with planning using a 120 mm thick composite
plate floor deck type W-1000 produced by PT Union Metal. Planning beams and columns
using hot rolled WF steel profiles. Child beams use WF 200x100x5.5x8 and WF
300x150x6.5x9 profiles; Main beams use WF 300x300x11x17 and WF 350x250x9x14
profiles; WF 400x400x13x21 profile columns. Connection type (Bolt Stiffened Extended
End Plate/BSEEP connecting between WF profiles where using welds and bolts.
