Abstract

Problems that arise regarding employee performance are often related to their low morale and job satisfaction at work. Feelings of lack of enthusiasm and dissatisfaction can hinder and affect performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work enthusiasm and job satisfaction on employee performance. The sampling technique used in this research is the Quota Sampling technique. The sample in this study was 268 company employees. This research method uses multiple regression analysis techniques, the scale used to measure work enthusiasm is the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ) scale, Job Satisfaction is measured through the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS), and performance is measured through the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that work enthusiasm and job satisfaction simultaneously affect performance (F 5.29, P = 0.006) and the value of R2 = 0.038 or 3.8% partially work enthusiasm has a positive effect on performance. This means that the higher the employee's work enthusiasm, the higher the performance. However, partially job satisfaction has no effect on employee performance in this study.
