PEMBENTUKAN SIKAP TOLERANSI BERAGAMA MELALUI PROGRAM RABU IBADAH DI SMP TAMAN HARAPAN MALANG

Indonesia has differences in ethnicity, race, and religion.
On the one hand, religious diversity can bring blessings, but on the
other hand, it can cause disaster if there is contact between
different groups. Taman Harapan Malang Middle School has a
variety of students from various religions and backgrounds, such as
Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism. Due to the existence of various
religions, the school holds a "Wednesday Worship" program as an
effort to build students' attitudes of religious tolerance. The
research method used is a qualitative approach with data
collection based on observation and interviews. This research
concludes that the formation of an attitude of religious tolerance at
Taman Harapan Malang Middle School is realized in two ways: the
school facilitates several religious teachers (Islam, Christianity, and
Buddhism) according to the student's religious background. At the
same time, educational institutions provide Wednesday Worship
programs, where every Wednesday morning, students are required
to carry out their respective religious rituals at school.
