Abstract

Climbing is a very popular activity in Indonesia, due to its appeal to the public. With the natural atmosphere and adventure offered, making the field now increasingly in demand. But unfortunately this is not accompanied by the existence of safety support factors. Many climbers ignore standard safety regulations due to lack of information. The existence of this motivates me to create a solution to the problems being experienced by climbers. It is hoped that the design of this solution can improve the experience and awareness of climbers. This research includes data collection and evaluation through the application of the five stages of the design thinking method, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The results of applying the design thinking method in UI/UX user interface design successfully achieved the goal of increasing user satisfaction and usefulness. In this case, support can be seen from the results of the ease of use assessment which reached a final score of 81.83 on the rating scale. Therefore, it can be concluded that testing results in a high appreciation of the usability of the Hiker's Guide application user interface so that it can be suggested as a basis for implementation into the application.
