Abstract

Self efficacy needs to be possessed by students in completing academic tasks. Self efficacy is an individual's belief about their ability to complete tasks according to the goals they want to achieve persistently. Confidence in the ability of the task will make students able to fully concentrate on the learning that takes place so that students have high motivation and enthusiasm. This is expected so that students can carry out activities with optimal results. This study aims to determine the relationship between self efficacy and academic flow. This research design is a non-experimental quantitative correlational type. The data collection technique uses simple random sampling technique). The subjects were 210 students. The data collection method used in this study is a self efficacy scale, namely General Self-Efficacy (GSE), then an academic flow scale using the LIS scale (The flow inventory for students). The data analysis method used in this study is product moment. The results of data analysis obtained a value of r = 0.425 p = 0.000 (sig <0.01) means that this study shows a positive relationship between self efficacy and academic flow, which is significant. The effective contribution of self efficacy to academic flow is 18% and the remaining 82%, influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
