HUBUNGAN ANTARA FLOURISHING DAN FEAR OF MISSING OUT PADA USIA DEWASA AWAL PENGGUNA MEDIA SOSIAL

So many social media platforms have emerged, resulting in increasing use of social media, especially among early adulthood. This also triggers a fear of missing out which makes an individual feel afraid of being left behind than others. Meanwhile, starting from a feeling of fear of being left behind, individuals become attached to social media. Having an attachment to an activity is one aspect of flourishing which is also called engagement. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between flourishing and fear of missing out in early adulthood as social media users. The research design used is a quantitative approach. This research used as subjects 115 social media users. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with the criteria for subjects being 18-30 years old and having social media. There are 2 research instruments used, namely the fomo scale developed by Przybylsky, Murayama, De Haan, and Gladwell in 2013 and the PERMA Profiler scale developed by Butler and Kern in 2016. Data analysis used the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the result that there was no relationship. significant relationship between flourishing and fear of missing out.
