Coronary heart disease or cardiovascular disease is a disease that has blockages in the
heart and blood vessels. In Coronary Heart Disease, atherosclerosis or blockage is caused by
continuous deposits of fat and cholesterol in the artery walls and clogs the heart muscle. Coronary
Heart Disease impacts on all aspects of the sufferer's life, including physical, psychosocial and
spiritual, impacting on the patient's quality of life. Psychosocial conditions are especially prevalent
in patients with coronary heart disease. Many CHD patients report conditions such as stress, anxiety,
and depression. The presence of comorbidities also worsens the health conditions and quality of life
of CHD patients. Objective: to identify the psychosocial response of coronary heart patients.
