TINJAUAN KRIMINOLOGI ANAK SEBAGAI PELAKU TINDAK PIDANA BEGAL (Studi Kasus di Polres Lumajang)

The increase in criminal acts of theft with violence (Begal) by children occurred in the jurisdiction of the Lumajang Regency Police. The crime of theft with violent robbery by children has a negative impact on society. There are efforts to deal with it by the Lumajang Police and the police's obstacles in dealing with this criminal act. This research is interesting to study to find out how law enforcement is carried out by the Lumajang Police. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that cause criminal acts of robbery committed by children.Furthermore, the research methods used are field studies and library research,with descriptive research type, namely analyzing data obtained from field studies and literature by explaining and describing the reality of the object. The results of this research are that in dealing with criminal acts of robbery, there are three forms of efforts, namely per-emotive efforts, namely by providing outreach to the community regarding the dangers posed by criminal acts of theft with violence committed by children, preventive efforts, namely supervision and prevention by carrying out morning and evening patrols, repressive efforts, namely taking action in accordance with the Criminal Code and regional regulations. Then the causal factors are social relations, alcohol addiction, economics, lack of parental supervision, low level of education.
