Abstract
Advances in digital technology open up new potential in innovative and
interesting religious learning methods, especially for children. The presence of
Islamic-themed educational games is relevant in this context, considering the
limited number of educational games available and the lack of representation
of religious themes in these games. This phenomenon can give rise to negative
perceptions of the role of games in education. Therefore, the importance of this
research lies not only in developing educational games with a Muhammadiyah
theme, but also in overcoming stigma and changing people's views on the
positive potential of games in the learning process.
Game development using the Scrum method, which involves team
collaboration between designers, developers, and players, offers a responsive
and effective approach. This method allows for effective communication and
responsive adjustments through scheduled iterations. The choice of this method
is not only related to flexibility, but also to efficiency in accommodating
changes, so as to ensure the fulfillment of player expectations and the
strengthening of the desired Islamic aspects.
The educational game designed, namely "Lail Adventure", offers an
interesting and challenging experience as well as learning the values of
Muhammadiyah. Using story elements, challenges, and puzzles, the game tests
players' understanding and provides immediate feedback. Thus, this game not
only entertains, but also educates players about Islamic values.
This research contributes to the development of educational games that
can be used as interactive learning tools for children. This game facilitates
Islamic understanding through a fun and educational gaming experience. With
this research, it is hoped that the use of technology in children's Islamic learning
can be further optimized and developed. In this way, children can learn while
playing more effectively, fun and interactively.
