Abstract

Stunting is a nutrition issue that is the focus of the Indonesian government, therefore the Batu City Health Office collaborates with pediatricians, nutritionists and posyandu cadres to reduce the number of stunting. This study aims to find out: (1) Form of Stunting Handling Program in Batu City, (2) Implementation of Stunting Management Program, and (3) Supporting and Inhibiting Factors in Program Implementation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. In this study the subject of the study was determined through Purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using Observation, Interviews, and Documentation. Data analysis techniques from Sugiyono. The results of this study show that: (1) Form of Stunting Handling Program in Batu City through: (a) center for pre- and postnatal health care and information for women and for children under five (Posyandu), (b) POZTING Stunting Handling Nutrition Post. (2) Implementation of the Stunting Handling Program using steps which include: (a) Program Formulation, (b) Program Socialization, (c) Program Implementation, (d) Evaluation. (3) Supporting and Inhibiting Factors in Program Implementation, namely: Supporting Factors include: (a) Policies that form the basis of the Program, (b) Cooperation between the government, the Health Office and all parties involved, (c) Direct monitoring by nutritionists, midwives and posyandu cadres. Inhibiting factors include: (a) Lack of Community Participation, (b) lack of Family Support.
