Urgensi Penegakan Hukum Terhadap Aktivitas Tindak Pidana Prostitusi Online Melalui Aplikasi Michat Daerah Malang Kota : Studi Polresta Malang

Online prostitution is very common, widespread and mushrooming in people's lives, in this case online prostitution is very easy to do with just a cellphone, the user can order prostitutes. Online prostitution activities are carried out because it is easier and safer to carry out prostitution transactions practically. . The problems discussed in this research are 1) What is the effectiveness of law enforcement by the Malang Police regarding the rise of online prostitution crimes through the Mi Chat application in the Malang City area? 2) What are the obstacles in the Malang Police's law enforcement efforts in cracking down on online prostitution crimes through the Mi Chat application in the Malang City area? The aim of this research is to find out and study the effectiveness of law enforcement and the obstacles in law enforcement efforts by the Malang Police in cracking down on online prostitution crimes through the Mi Chat application in the Malang City area. The method used in this research is sociological juridical, linking legal writing carried out sociologically with attention to social aspects. The results of this research are that the effectiveness of law enforcement carried out by the Malang Police regarding the rise of online prostitution crimes through the Mi Chat application in the Malang City area is still not effective. The results of research regarding obstacles in law enforcement efforts by the Malang Police in cracking down on online prostitution crimes through the Mi Chat application in the Malang City area include: Inadequate facilities and infrastructure, inadequate human resources (law enforcers) in the field of information technology, crime which is developing so fast with very varied and sophisticated methods, many online prostitution advertisements are used as a mode of fraud, high law enforcement costs related to enforcing online prostitution crimes, in terms of information technology the filter system created by the government is still weak because it is still general and cultural in nature Indonesian society, especially family control, is lacking.
