Abstract

The development of information technology and digital media has had a significant impact on children's lives. Children today are increasingly exposed to the use of digital media video streaming applications that offer various types of interesting content. Problem: However, too much time spent watching digital content on video streaming apps will have a negative impact on children. Therefore, it is important to manage children's viewing time wisely and limit the duration of time spent in front of the screen. Methods: This study uses the UX Journey method using a mixed methods approach consisting of two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. Data was collected through interviews and observations. The qualitative approach was chosen to obtain a detailed description of a particular social situation by accurately describing the reality formed through the collection and analysis of words derived from the observed situation. Results: The results showed that most of the requirements in the needs checklist have been met by the children's video streaming app.Conclusion and development: The conclusion of the study states that 80% of the data collected shows that this application is feasible to use. Some of the main factors that support this conclusion involve 60% of respondents stating that they are satisfied with the appearance design of the application, 80% of respondents stated that it is good that there is a timer feature to control the duration of watching children, 80% stated that they are happy when accessing the applicationConclusion and development : The conclusion of the study states that 80% of the data collected shows that this application is feasible to use. Some of the main factors that support this conclusion include 60% of respondents being satisfied with the design of the app, 80% of respondents being happy with the timer feature to control the duration of children's viewing, 80% being happy when accessing the app.
