Abstract

Game applications are now known by all kinds of groups, even among children. Not all games currently available on the market do not support children's learning in learning, one example is letter recognition. The ability to recognize letters is an important skill in children's future academic development. The aim of this research is to develop a game that aims to help and test children's ability to recognize letters by prioritizing audio, visual and memory abilities..The method used in this research is UX Journey, which is a development technique for design thinking that provides a design solution. Data collection in the research used interviews with resource persons who were children's families and observations made on competing applications. The results of this research are a design of a letter education game for children that meets user expectations. The conclusion of this research is that the results of data verification with five other sources with five sources who act as stakeholders show almost the same results with a difference of 20% on the problem variables tested. Apart from that, acceptance criteria testing and A/B testing for resource persons who act as stakeholders regarding game designs that have been developed using UX Journey have been accepted by the resource person concerned. The suggestion in this research is to develop features for further learning letters in children so that they can keep up with current developments. The development carried out in this research is the addition of a grade history feature which displays the results of quizzes that have been taken by children.
