Gambaran Penerimaan Diri Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronis yang Menjalani Hemodialisis

Background : Patients with chronic kidney failure undergo hemodialysis twice a week as a renal replacement therapy. Self-acceptance is crucial to support the implementation of hemodialysis therapy. Objective: To explore the overview of self-acceptance in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. Method : This research employed a qualitative research design with a case study approach. Data collection utilized semi-structured interview techniques involving three participants. The obtained data were then analyzed using thematic analysis. Results : This study resulted in five themes: 1) Stages of self-acceptance; 2) Family support for patients; 3) Severity of the disease; 4) Positive self-concept. Discussion : To achieve good self-acceptance, aspects are needed that can support the implementation of the self-acceptance process. Which then if these aspects are fulfilled can accelerate the process of self-acceptance.
