ANALISIS YURIDIS SOSIOLOGIS PENEGAKAN HUKUM TERHADAP TINDAK PIDANA PENIPUAN ONLINE DI WILAYAH HUKUM KEPOLISIAN RESOR PONOROGO

The development of information technology today provides many benefits for all mankind. This progress has an impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities carried out. However, the development of this technology has also contributed to the development of crime, which goes hand in hand with the development of human civilization, certainly accompanied by an increase in the quality and quantity of complex perpetrators of crime through variations in their modus operandi. Online fraud is a development of advances in information technology which has become a form of cybercrime. The focus examined in this study is on what factors hinder the police in carrying out law enforcement against online-based fraud crimes in the Ponorogo Resort Police Jurisdiction, and how the police efforts in overcoming law enforcement obstacles to online-based fraud crimes in the Ponorogo Resort Police Jurisdiction. The research method used in this research is sociological juridical where this research is carried out by looking at something or legal reality that exists in society. From the results of research conducted on law enforcement against online fraud crimes in the jurisdiction of the Ponorogo Resort Police, several factors inhibiting law enforcement were found, ranging from legal factors, law enforcement factors, facilities or facilities factors, community factors, and cultural factors. Each of these factors has its own obstacles. In this case, the police have made efforts from prevention to law enforcement in overcoming obstacles through pre-emptive efforts, by conducting socialization about cybercrime, preventive efforts by checking suspicious and dangerous sites, and repressive by taking action on cases.
