Abstract

Tomatoes are a plant that is in great demand among Indonesian people. Tomato productivity in 2019 – 2022 will experience fluctuations. Increasing tomato productivity can be done by improving appropriate cultivation techniques and using superior varieties. Superior varieties are obtained from the plant breeding process. Prospective new varieties must go through several processes, namely yield tests and multi-location tests. The aim of this research is to determine which genotypes tested have superior productivity potential and to study the characteristics of each genotype tested. The research was carried out on land in Karang Ploso sub-district, Malang. The land area used is 420 m2. This research used four candidate hybrid varieties produced by PT breeders. Aditya Sentana Agro TM 01-3489, TM 02-4339, TM 03-4401, TM 04-4403 and three comparison varieties, namely Servo, Hanafi and Gustavi. This research used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RKLT) or Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with one factor with 7 treatments repeated 3 times so that there were 21 trials. The results obtained from TM 01 and TM 02 have superior potential in terms of leaf color, young and ripe fruit color and fruit tip shape. TM 01 has the potential to be superior in stem diameter, harvest age, fruit weight per plant up to 2,055 g, weight per fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit flesh thickness, number of fruit cavities and yield per hectare up to 46.95 tons/ha compared with comparison varieties 1, 2 and 3.
