Abstract
The research purpose was to study correlation between point sampling and volume table method. Point sampling method is an al ternat ive method for teak stand systematic sampling. It offers cheaper and more effective way for cruising method. The research was held in Kediri Forest District, Pare Forest Subdistrict, and Pandan Toyo Forest Resort. The research location was based on normality of the stand and variety of the stand in age and growth characteristic. Sampling technique used was Purposive Sampl ing. Data analysis used correlat ion between cruis ing resul t Mathematical model was assumed linear using this ekspression V = a + b 0 K After Mathemat ical equat ion was found, conversion between two methods would be
developed. Field data was taken from 193 sample units located at 17 plots. The regression model found that Y = 4.633 + 0.488 X was the best statistical model. The annova test showed that regression model was highly significant, with R value 0.797. This equation was based on the equation to build conversion factor between the two methods. Conversion factor showed that volume table taxation = 4.633 + 0.488 Point sampling Taxation.
