Abstract

The purpose of carrying out this research was to improve mathematics learning
outcomes, especially in addition and subtraction material for class 1A students at
SD Negeri 2 Girimoyo through the implementation of the Project Based Learning
(PjBL) learning model. This research is a class action research model of Kemmis &
McTaggart with the stages of planning, action implementation, observation and
reflection. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive comparative
analysis. Comparative descriptive, namely comparing the results of research on the
pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The results of these comparisons are to determine
indicators of success and deficiencies in each cycle. Indicators that have not been
achieved will be corrected in the next cycle. So that the deficiencies that have been
corrected by researchers in the next cycle can improve student learning outcomes.
The results of the study concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model
can improve the learning outcomes of class 1-A students at Girimoyo 2 Elementary
School. This can be shown by the acquisition of the value of mathematics learning
outcomes in the addition and withdrawal material in the pre-cycle mastery of
students by 36.7% and then increased by 66.7% in cycle I and increased again in
cycle II by 83.3%
