Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of spiritual leadership and Islamic work ethics on teacher performance with organizational commitment. The location of this research was carried out at the Islamic Education and Teaching Foundation (YAPPI) Southwest Sumba Regency. The population in this study was all permanent teachers at the foundation, totaling 200 people. The sampling method used in this research is a saturated sample or census with the entire population used as the sample. So the sample in this study amounted to 200 foundation teachers. The data analysis technique in this research uses the Structural Equation Model (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) SEM-PLS equation with Smart PLS Software. PLS-SEM Outer Model Analysis consists of Convergent Validity Test, Discriminant Validity Test, and Composite Reliability, while the Inner Mode consists of R-Square, and Goodness of Fit, then Path analysis, and Hypothesis Testing. The findings from this research are that spiritual leadership and Islamic work ethics do not have a direct significant influence on teacher performance. Both have a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. Meanwhile, spiritual leadership and Islamic work ethics also indirectly have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance through increasing organizational commitment
