ELISITASI KEBUTUHAN SISTEM LABORATORIUM INFORMATIKA UNIVERSITAS MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN USER PERSONA

To develop a good notification mechanism for the iLab system, it is necessary to introduce user habits so that notifications are not interrupted. The HCI persona technique is used to gather information and get to know users and their characteristics. The purpose of this study is to get to know iLab users and find out what notifications need to be delivered, the importance level of notifications, delivery of notifications via smartphone or desktop and when the right time for notification is delivered according to each role. We use the HCI Acuña persona technique to get to know users and make persona of each user involved in this problem. There are 3 people involved in this problem. First is the lecturer who works on the practicum, the second is the laboratory assistant, and the third is the practitioner. Nielsen said that for each persona at least 5 people are needed. Our goal in interviewing two people is to validate the answer of the first person we interviewed. If the answer is different then we interview the third person. Then what is taken is one person with the same answer. The results of this study are a user persona document that hopes to provide information about system requirements from the perspectives of various users concerned with this issue. To develop a good notification mechanism for the iLab system, techniques are needed to get to know the user. The technique to be used here is the Persona HCI Acuña Technique.
