Abstract
This research will discuss Ireland's efforts to implement the EU's
Renewable Energy Directive policy to meet the European Union's
Renewable Energy target by 2030. This research uses a qualitative method,
using the theory of energy security. Sources of data are obtained from
previous research or what is often called a literature review or literature
review. The results of this study state that Ireland as a member country of
the EU has set a renewable energy mix target of 34.1% in 2030, while the
EU has set a target of 45% in 2030. To achieve this target, Ireland is
cooperating well regional or bilateral. Ireland also forms a distributed
energy community in meeting renewable energy targets. In addition, there is
an energy supply company to provide renewable energy for the community
at an affordable price.
