PILIHAN PEKERJAAN PETANI PASCA ALIH FUNGSI LAHAN PERTANIAN (Studi Kasus di Jalan Doplang, Kelurahan Purbosuman, Kab Ponorogo

This research aims to analyze farmers' professional choices after the conversion of agricultural land to residential land and the factors that influence farmers' professional choices after the conversion of agricultural land to residential land. Data collection for this research used a purposive sampling method, focusing on farmers whose agricultural land changed its function to non-agricultural land, namely housing, and farmers whose agricultural land was located next to residential land that was affected by farming. The data used is primary and secondary data, in the form of the Purbosuman Village guidebook, and interview data with respondents. The research results show that farmers who are old and sell their agricultural land choose not to continue farming. Meanwhile, respondents who were still quite young chose to continue their farming business and start a new business. Some respondents who said they would continue to work as farmers even though they were cultivators, it is known that the respondents' choice of the type of work they chose after land conversion was based on historical values, social values, religious values and economic values.
