Abstract
The business world is currently experiencing rapid development, along with a higher level of competition. This encourages every business to have unique advantages and strategies to remain relevant in a competitive market. Ammar Furniture store which is engaged in Furniture located in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi which was founded in 2019. As a form of improving performance in this company, one of the processes carried out is employee performance appraisal. Currently, the employee performance appraisal system is still done manually by relying on the results of observations and interviews. This is a problem that will hinder employee performance, so it requires designing the right UI / UX Employee Performance Appraisal System for a website that will provide information and design displays that are easy to understand. Design Thinking is an approach method in product design that centers on the needs of Users and produces creative thinking in solving problems, in this approach method there are 5 stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. These five stages are very important to overcome the problems faced by Users, which then generate ideas and solutions to overcome existing challenges. The result of this research is a website Prototype with a User interface design (UI/UX) that is structured according to User needs, and the final result of this research with Usability Testing using a maze obtained a score of 82.5 for Testing on Admin POV and a score of 78.1 for Testing on Employee POV this is obtained based on direct success, misclick rate, and average duration, from the results, the user feels satisfied with the design outcome provided.
