Abstract

Digital technologies, such as mobile devices and applications, are
increasingly used in education at all levels. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Quizizz as a vocabulary learning tool in EFL classroom at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, focusing on its strengths and weaknesses. This study utilized a mixed-methods research design. Quantitative data iscollected using questionnaire, while qualitative data is collected through interviews. A total of
forty-five students from the English Language Department (ELED) at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang were selected. According to the data gathered from the questionnaire and interviews, the students have expressed favorable sentiments regarding the use of Quizizz for Vocabulary Learning. The
strengths of Quizizz as a media for vocabulary learning is that it engages students in the learning process, making it more interesting and enjoyable. In addition, Quizizz’s weaknesses were found, there are crucial factor to take into account when utilizing Quizizz: A poor internetconnection has an impact on students’
learning experiences when using Quizizz. Overall, Quizizz gives a significant contribution as a tool in the EFL vocabulary learning.
