Abstract
Turki and Saudi Arabia have a long history of cooperation in which Saudi Arabia is one of the center of Islam throughout the world where two Islamic holy cities, Mecca and Medina, are located and under the governance of Saudi Arabia. The closeness relationship that exists between Turkey and Saudi Arabia is caused by the existence of their very Islamic government from both countries. As Turkey is now led by Erdogan who comes from a party called AKP, an Islamic Justice and development party, This research was formed to find out how the dynamics of Turkey and Saudi Arabia relationship in 2016 to 2023, in which a conflict that is fairly crucial to both countries occurred. This research produces data that shows the influence of Jamal Khashoggi case to Turkey-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations which is also affected by various variables such as pressure from the international community, the presence of the United States’ influence to both countries bilateral relations, and the efforts to leverage the relations since Turkey is facing quite difficult economic problems and needs support from Saudi Arabia to solve them.
