Abstract

With advances in technology, online travel agents have become a business model that facilitates online airline ticket bookings. Although many flight booking platforms exist, there is still a lack of understanding user preferences and developing easy-to-use user interfaces. This research aims to solve problems in booking airline tickets and improve the user experience and user interface on the FlightBook System.
The method used is UX Journey, which integrates owner needs and understanding user experience. Data collection involves student user personas, with variables such as ticket prices, promos, and cabin class information. To validate and verify problems in mobile-based airline ticket booking, requirement metrics and acceptance criteria are used.
The results of this research include creating a user interface based on the user experience persona and approval from 5 respondents regarding the design results as indicated by the acceptance criteria. As well as requirements metrics that cover 7 aspects, including Unambiguous, Correctness, Completeness, Understandable, Verifiable, Internally Consistent, and Precise. The evaluation results of the requirements specification checklist show that most metrics show a high level of consistency. Several metrics, such as Correctness, Verifiable, and Understandable, received an overall score of 1, indicating a strong level of agreement in the assessment. Meanwhile, Completeness has a value of 0.75. And there is a slight significant difference in Internal Consistent between reviewers. However, self reviewer and reviewer 3 have the same value, namely 0.33, and reviewers 1 and 2 have a value of 0.6. This indicates a high degree of uniformity of assessment among reviewers involved in the evaluation of these requirements metrics. Therefore, it can be concluded that with the UX Journey method, the evaluation of design solutions is acceptable and the metrics show a high level of consistency in the assessment.
