Abstract

Jalan Raya Tekung - Jalan Raya Yosowilangun is a connecting road between Lumajang Regency and Jember City, East Java, which has a length of 20.5 KM with a road width of 5 meters. The road is included in the road that often occurs accidents. In the planning of this road there are several things that are not in accordance with the provisions of the planning of connecting roads between cities, such as the width of the road that is only 5 meters, the width of the shoulder that is not the same along the road, the width of the road bends that are not appropriate. In the regulation of the Minister of Public Works. No. 19/PRT/M/2011 states that the minimum road width is 7 meters, as well as the width of road bends. In the regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 11/PRT/M/2010. it is said that the width of the road shoulder is at least 2 meters. besides that along the road there are other problems that result in frequent accidents. Some of the contributing factors include the number of potholes and slippery roads. in this case, the method used in analyzing the black spot points includes using the EAN method. From the results of this analysis, it is found that the area that most often occurs accidents or black spots at KM 1.
