Abstract
Language abilities in children are important in supporting the achievement of children's cognitive development. One of the stimuli that can be given to children to train language abilities is the storytelling method. The purpose of this project is to provide a storytelling method to improve the language abilities of children aged 5 years. The qualitative method with a case study approach was chosen as the method in this project because the intervention was determined based on the needs of the subject according to the results of the assessment that had been carried out. The procedure for implementing this project begins with conducting an assessment, providing intervention (treatment), and evaluation. The provision of interventions using the storytelling method was carried out in 3 sessions of 3 consecutive days. Data collection was obtained through the results of filling out the behavior checklist sheet. The results of providing interventions that have been carried out to the subject show an improvement in the subject's language abilities. The subject began to be able to express his feelings and opinions, tell what his activities were that day, be able to carry out orders, and be able to answer questions with long answers.
