Abstract
Problem: Providing solutions related to UX design improvements that can be applied in family learning and enhancing user experience in using the reading learning application. Method: The research method used UX Journey is a development of Design Thinking that combines convergent and divergent thinking to provide effective design solutions. Data collection techniques were obtained through qualitative and quantitative approaches by conducting interviews and observations of Family personas helping their non-reading children learn to read. Results: The results obtained in this study are in the form of providing solutions in designing structured learning material models, adding text-to-speech effects, adjusting the difficulty level to the child's reading ability in learning to read, as well as features to monitor the development of the child's reading learning. Conclusion and Development: The research shows that this application design has the potential to be a useful learning tool in helping children learn to read interactively and enjoyably. By implementing suggestions such as adding interactive features, providing feedback, integrating with social features, and evaluating and updating periodically, it is hoped that this reading learning application can continue to be an attractive and effective choice for children and can compete well with other competitor applications.
