ANALISIS KEPENTINGAN IRAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN ENERGI NUKLIR PADA MASA KEPEMIMPINAN HASSAN ROUHANI

This research will be to discuss Iran’s efforts to increase nuclear energy during President Hassan Rouhani’s tenure. The background to this research is that Iranian government is trying to develop its country’s nuclear potential to be able to utilize al exiting resource potential such oil, gas, drug production , weapons production and maintaining geographic security. this research uses the concept of national interst , the basic assumption of this theory is to maintain the security of the security of the state itself in an anarchic environment so that it can obtain two powers, namely Tangible and Intangible. This research method is descriptive qualitative using library research to collect data including journals, books, theses and also articles. The results of this research show that Iran’s high need for nuclear energy and existence of international anarchy mean that Iran must be independent and strong in maintaining its national security.
