Abstract

The Concerns about maritime security instability in the Indo-Pacific region are increasingly emerging, based on the potential tendency for conflict of trust between the United States and China, the United States is building the AUKUS maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region with the aim of stemming China's dominant influence, also seeing the rise of China and its existence. The domination of powers in the Indo-Pacific region is increasingly evident as evidenced by China's military modernization and unilateral claims to the South China Sea which are still unresolved. The purpose of this writing is to look at the efforts made by Indonesia to maintain maritime security stability in the Indo-Pacific region because Indonesia occupies the most strategic position as an archipelago country and Indonesia's vision is as a country with the world's maritime axis in the Indo-Pacific region. By using a descriptive qualitative method (literature study) to explain research based on the concept of maritime diplomacy, the results were found, the importance of Indo-Pacific maritime security stability for Indonesia and the existence of several major efforts made by Indonesia in asserting its position and influence. Indonesia in the Indo-Pacific region is active in IORA cooperation and as the initiator of the Indo-Pacific Treaty idea during the administration of President Joko Widodo, to maintain maritime security stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
