Abstract
Bacground: Immunization is an effort to provide immunity to babies so that they
can prevent various diseases. Complete basic immunization can be seen from the
immunization coverage in the form of BCG given 1 times, DPT given 3 times,
Polio given 4 times, Hepatitis B given once and Measles given once.
Objective: To determine parents' knowledge regarding the completeness of basic
immunization for children at the Arjasa Community Health Center in the Arjasa
District, Sumenep Regency amnd to determine the completeness of basic
immunization for children aged <12 months.
Method: This research is an observational study with a cross sectional type of
study. The population in this study were parents who had children aged <12
months who were in the target work area of the Arjasa Kangean Island
Community Health Center, with a sample of 90 respondents. Data analysis in this
study used univariate analysis.
Results: Knowledge about immunization (Understanding of immunization,
purpose of immunization, type of immunization, timing of immunization, method
of immunization and actions that need to be taken after immunization is given) in
the good category amounting to 57 people or 63.3%, in the sufficient category
totaling 30 people or 33 .3% of the underprivileged category is 3 people or 3.3%
and toddlers who have received complete immunization (Hepatitis B 0, BCG,
Polio 1, DPT-HB 1, Polio 2, DPT-HB 2, Polio 3, DPT-HB 3, Polio 4 and
Measles) totaling 63 toddlers or 70 .0%, those who were incomplete were 27
toddlers or 30.0%.
Conclusion: Parents knowledge regarding the completeness of basic
immunization for children at the Arjasa Community Health Center in the Arjasa
District, Sumenep Regency for the knowledge variable related to immunization
which is categorized as good is 57 respondents, 30 respondents are sufficient and
3 respondents are less, for the completeness variable 63 babies were classified as
complete with immunization and 27 babies were incomplete.
