Strategi Stop Asian Hate Sebagai Gerakan Sosial Baru Dalam Melawan Rasisme Terhadap Keturunan Asia di Amerika Serikat

This research analyzes the strategies to fight racism against Asians in the United States through the Stop Asian Hate movement. By using qualitative research methods and literature studies, this research is able to explain the various effects of racism. This research also utilizes the theory of new social movements combined with the concept of Connective Action to analyze what strategies are carried out by the Stop Asian Hate movement which aims to fight for the rights of Asian descendants in America. Racial discrimination against Asians in the United States has been ingrained for a long time and continues to increase until now, even reaching violent acts. The increase in racism against Asian descendants has increased during the reign of President Donald Trump, especially along with the emergence of the Covid-19 Virus Pandemic in the United States in early 2020. The result of this research is that the strategies used include collective community movements, such as the formation of non-profit institutions, demonstrations, advocacy, making political symbols by creating Asian museums, creating murals to campaigns through digital media, able to mobilize the public to participate against racism against Asians in the United States.
