Abstract
Background: Artery Coronary Syndrome (ACS) is a heart function disorder due to lack of blood in the heart muscle due to a blockage or narrowing of the coronary arteries due to damage to the lining of the blood vessel walls (atherosclerosis) so that the heart cannot pump blood adequately to meet the body's metabolic needs. nursing problems Decreased cardiac output. This Ners Final Scientific Work raises the case of Mr. M who experienced Inferopesterior STEMI. This Ners Final Scientific Work aims to describe the process of Providing Cardiac Care Interventions to Mr. M With Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) in the Intensive Cardiology Care Unit (ICCU).
Methods: The research method of this Nurse's Final Scientific Work uses case study reports. Researchers followed the scientific method according to the principles of the Nursing Process which included: Assessment, Data Analysis, Nursing Intervention, Nursing Implementation, and Nursing Evaluation. In the assessment process, the author uses various data collections such as anamnesa, observation, documentation studies and physical examinations to collect various information/data related to the patient, namely Mr. M. To complete the missing data, the authors also conducted interviews with the family of Mr. M.
Results: After providing Nursing Care for 3 consecutive days, the authors raised the Main Nursing Diagnosis, namely decreased cardiac output b/d changes in afterload. Based on the Main Nursing Diagnostics, Cardiac Care Intervention was carried out, after nursing actions the results were not resolved.
Discussion: The main nursing problem at Mr. M, namely a decrease in cardiac output is carried out by Cardiac Care Interventions including monitoring vital signs, providing oxygen to maintain saturation > 94%, monitoring fluid intake and output. Another recommended action that can be given to patients with ACS is to provide auricular acupressure therapy which is useful for reducing anxiety and restlessness in patients.
