DIPLOMASI BUDAYA QATAR MELALUI FIFA WORLD CUP 2022

Football is used as a diplomatic tool for a country, in various forms. Starting from the economic, political, legal, defense and security, social and cultural fields, or even organizing sporting events. This study aims to discuss about Qatar's cultural diplomacy in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. This study uses a qualitative research method. In the discussion in this study, the authors use a conceptual basis with an approach based on the soft power diplomacy of a nation and its relation to Islamic cultural diplomacy. The impact of Qatar as the venue for the 2022 World Cup is that many non-Islamic people want to get to know, explore, and put their trust in embracing Islam, believing that Islam is not a terrorist, the matches run in a conducive manner and there is no harassment of women.
