Abstract
Background: Diabetic ulcers or what is commonly called diabetic foot is a complication of diabetes caused by nerve disorders and peripheral arterial disease which can cause infection, ulceration and damage to skin tissue in the feet of diabetics.
Objective: to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with diabetic ulcer disease and analyze the results of the implementation of wound care on healing diabetic foot wounds.
Method: the research method used in preparing this nurse's final scientific work uses a case study report. The author follows the scientific method of nursing process rules which include: assessment, data analysis, nursing intervention, implementation and evaluation.
Results: After providing nursing care for 3 consecutive days to patients with diabetic foot disease, a nursing diagnosis of acute pain and blood sugar instability resulted in the problem being resolved.
Conclusion: Based on the results of the analysis of clinical practice and the provision of nursing care, intervention plans, implementation of interventions using diabetic foot wound care post debridement for 3 days can be applied in the patient's healing process because there are several interventions that are able to provide an improvement impact both from a clinical and psychological aspect until the patient can be discharged.
