Indonesia is an agricultural country. An agrarian country should not be interpreted in a narrow sense, namely a country that relies on the agricultural sector as the main pillar of its economy; however, it must be understood in a broad sense, namely a country that relies on agrarian resources (earth, water and natural wealth contained therein to support the country's economy. The purpose of this study is to analyze and interpret government policies in improving the social welfare of farmers in Pacitan and the effect of assistance from the local government of Pacitan Regency in improving the welfare of the map.The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive type approach because the researcher will describe or provide an overall picture of the condition of the farmers in Pacitan Regency.The location of this research is in Pacitan Regency, Method used in determining the subject using a purposive sampling technique.The data collection technique that the researcher did was using observation, interview and documentation techniques.From the findings in the field it is known that some of the efforts made by The Government of Pacitan Regency in Improving Farmers' Social Welfare has been quite effective, this is evidenced by the usefulness of the assistance provided to farmers. This condition was strengthened when researchers interviewed farmers where farmers felt very helped by the assistance and assistance carried out by the government of Pacitan Regency, even though there were no specific rules or policies governing the welfare of farmers, the government already had initiatives to improve the welfare of existing farmers. in Pacitan District.
