Abstract
This Research aims to determine and analyze the significance of the reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, which represents a new chapter for the Middle East region. It is important to study because most conflicts in the region are caused by the cold war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. This research uses a descriptive method with data collection techniques through a literature review using Scopus from 2014 to 2023. The data is visualized using VOSviewer. The researcher found that Saudi Arabia’s interests lie in economic development, as evidenced by the normalization policies that impact by the structural (internally) of Saudi Arabia regarding economic diversification, external pressure regarding proxy wars, and MBS’s perception of his environment, leading Saudi Arabia to make political maneuvers by reconciling with Iran.
