Strategi Advokasi Anti Kekerasan Berbasis Gender Online pada Akun @AwasKBGO Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Kesadaran Publik

The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify the forms of advocacy strategies that are used by @AwasKBGO—an account of an advocacy organization under the SAFEnet initiative—on a variety of social media platforms. The purpose of the advocacy is to educate and increase public awareness about the dangers of online gender-based violence in social media. Digital violence develops following the dynamics of information technology in this digital era. One of digital violences that is currently infamous is online gender-based violence or KBGO– in short. The most obvious and frequent examples are accessing, using, manipulating, and distributing personal data, photos or videos, as well as personal information and personal content without consent. This research uses a qualitative approach method with in-depth interview data collection techniques. The research results show that @AwasKBGO as the only advocacy institution that focuses on Online GenderBased Violence (KBGO) has implemented a communication advocacy strategy which includes analysis, strategy, mobility, action, evaluation and sustainability.
