Abstract
Body image is how individuals think and evaluate their own body, either in several parts of the body or as a whole. Entering early adulthood, individuals begin to experience changes in life patterns, such as continuing their education at the college level, starting to work, and thinking more seriously about relationships with the opposite sex. This pattern of life makes individuals have to be involved more often in social situations. This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and social anxiety in early adult women with acne vulgaris. The sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling with a total of 282 female respondents. The instruments used in this research were the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) and the Social Anxiety Scale-Adolescent (SAS-A). Based on the results of the Pearson correlation test using SPSS version 26, it show that there is a significant negative relationship between the variables body image (X) and social anxiety (Y) with correlation value -0.120.
