Abstract
The biology learning system in Indonesia in utilizing the environment as a learning resource is still low, especially in classification material. One of the high levels of biodiversity in Indonesia is medicinal plants, especially in the Order Lamiales. Phenotic relationships can be used to determine the morphological characteristics of a plant and the similarity of characteristics between plants. However, there is a lack of research regarding the kinship relationships of the Lamiales Order in classification material. The objectives of this research are 1) to determine the specific morphological characteristics of the Lamiales order. 2) determine the phenetic relationships in plants of the Lamiales order using the taximetry method. 3) utilize research results as a biology learning resource in class X high school classification system material. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The research was conducted at UPT. The Materia Medica Laboratory uses 19 species of members of the Order Lamiales. The research parameters are roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruit. The analysis of this research data is "Cluster Analysis" with association calculations. The results of data analysis in the form of a hierarchical diagram are called dendograms. The results of the research show that there is a kinship relationship between 19 types of medicinal plants from the Lamiales Order, divided into 3 kinship categories, namely very close, close and not close. Based on the similarity value, the highest value of IS = 1.00 in the category of very close kinship is found in Cat's Whisker (Orthosiphon aristatus) with Lavender (Lavandula officinalis) and Poko Leaf (Mentha arvensis) and Lenglengan (Leucas lavandulifolia L.). Meanwhile, the lowest IS value of IS = 0.29 was found in the Keji shard (Strobilanthes crispa) with spoon leaves (Plantago major) and spoon leaves (Plantago major) with Pagoda (Clerodendrum paniculatum). The research results are packaged in the form of a handout to be used as a learning resource.
