Abstract
The staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia have various tasks that need to be done quickly. However, this can trigger stress among the staff. Work-related stress can lead to decreased staff productivity, thus requiring job satisfaction. Satisfied staff contribute to the achievements of their institution and create a positive work environment. Job satisfaction is related to the mental well-being of staff, reducing stress levels and increasing happiness. This research aims to determine the relationship between work related stress and job satisfaction among the staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia X. This research uses a quantitative correlational approach with a total of 23 staff members as research samples. Data collection methods use the distribution of Job Stress Survey (JSS) (work-related stress) and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) (job satisfaction) questionnaires. Data analysis uses Spearman analysis. The results of the research show a significant relationship between work-related stress and job satisfaction (sig= 0.02). This indicates that the higher the work-related stress, the lower the level of job satisfaction.
