SELF-COMPASSION PADA PMI YANG MEMILIKI PENGALAMAN TIDAK DIPERBOLEHKAN IBADAH OLEH MAJIKAN

This research aims to determine self-compassion in PMIs who are not allowed to worship either by their employers or agents. Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) often face unpleasant incidents carried out by employers and agents. Physical and mental abuse, unpaid wages, human trafficking, and employment agency fraud. This event can cause trauma if it occurs repeatedly. Several PMIs who lived in the shelter of the Indonesian Consulate General in Penang had the experience of not being allowed to worship by their employers or agents. This affects self-compassion. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Interviews and observations were conducted on 2 PMIs who had the criteria of not being allowed to worship by their employers or agents. The results showed that PMI showed acceptance of the situation, even though they had previously experienced various events. The implications of this research require the development of a psychological intervention program to increase PMI's self-compassion at the Indonesian Consulate General in Penang shelter.
