SOLIDARITAS SOSIAL MAHASISWA DOMPU MALANG DALAM MENYIKAPI KORBAN BENCANA BANJIR DI KABUPATEN DOMPU

This study aims to describe the forms and factors that encourage social solidarity carried out by students in responding to victims of natural disasters in West Nusa Tenggara. This research is a descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The research was conducted on Dompu Malang students who are members of the regional organization Ikatan Keluarga Mahasiswa Dompu Malang. Research data was obtained from 6 research informants who were elements of students and the community collected by interview. The results showed that (1) the form of social solidarity carried out by students to respond to flood victims in Huu sub-district was to raise funds at several red light points in Malang city, provide direct assistance to people who were flood victims from the results of fundraising in Malang City, carry out joint prayers, and be directly involved in mutual aid activities. (2) Student social solidarity is caused by several factors, namely regional primordial factors, feelings of fate, religious orders, humanitarian factors, and idealism.
