Abstract
Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the ten main causes of death worldwide caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Aini et al, 2017). Tuberculosis (TB) is ranked 10th with the highest death cases in the world. Most TB cases are on the Asian continentthird in TB cases. Tuberculosis can have an impact on children with an ever-increasing prevalence.
Results:The type of tuberculosis suffered by An.D is active tuberculosis. Active TB is TB that can be transmitted through the spread of germs into the air in the form of droplets (sputum splashes). Where these droplets contain germs and can survive in the air at room temperature for several hours. In patients with active TB, patients have not received OAT treatment at all or have already taken OAT treatment but have relapsed (Rafflesia, 2014). The accumulation of secretions that occur in children with tuberculosiscan raises discomfort that makes it difficult for the child to breathe and position his own body and must be assisted by the mother/father, therefore further intervention or Non-Pharmacological measures in the form of Chest Physiotherapy is recommended to be given to children with a diagnosis of Tuberculosis, especially with nursing problems ineffective airway clearance. In providing pharmacological therapy, chest physiotherapy in children is proven to be able to reduce the risk of severity and increase the health status of children who are.currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. However, we as nurses must think critically in carrying out our roles and responsibilities by providing innovative nursing interventions for the welfare of children by reducing the burden on parents to provide non-pharmacological therapy (Ginting & Nurhaeni, 2021)
Conclusion :Nursing Care Interventions given to An.D according to each nursing diagnosis, and the authors determine the main intervention, namely Chest Physiotherapy on the main problem Ineffective airway clearance, objective and subjective data 80% lead to the findings that the authors have obtained based on IDHS 2017, from the subjective data obtained that the mother said that An.D was still coughing and heard grunts or mucus that could be expelled. From the objective results found RR: 28x/m, dipsnea, installed O2 4Lpm, additional breath sounds Wet rhonchi: Dextra posterior apical lobe
