Abstract
The issue of mental well-being in the workplace is one that impacts employee productivity. The staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Malaysia in City X has a variety of workloads that can affect their stress levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and work stress in the staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Malaysia in City X and the factors that cause it. The research method used is a correlational quantitative approach with Accidental Sampling technique using Role Overload Scale (ROS) and Job Stress Survey (JSS) instruments and added with unstructured interviews with staff. The subjects in this study consisted of 23 people. Data analysis using Spearman analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between workload and job stress on the staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Malaysia in X City. This means that when the workload is higher or lower, it will affect the work stress of the staff.
