Abstract
This research aims to determine the role of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in supporting post-coup democratization 2021-2022 in Myanmar. By focusing on strategy, tactics, community participation, and international support, this research seeks to provide relevant insights for policy formulation and advocacy to support democratization. New Social Movements (GSB) are a central concept in this research, showing that CDM, with broad participation and innovative tactics such as strikes and symbolic protests, can achieve significant change. International support, especially through social media and the Milk Tea Alliance, put effective pressure on the military junta. The courage of the demonstrators, including officials and civilians, created solidarity that involved various levels of society. CDM has successfully faced challenges by creating innovative resistance, such as national strikes and economic boycotts, showing that technology and creativity can be a force in fighting authoritarianism and fighting for democratic values and human rights. With extraordinary achievements, the CDM is an example of the success of a social movement against the coup and restoring democratic rights in Myanmar. The next research suggestion is to focus on sustainability and developing knowledge related to CDM.
